Award Ceremony - 2022 San Diego Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs

*COVID-19 POLICY: Everyone, regardless of vaccine status, is required to wear a mask at all times while indoors, and masks are highly recommended in outdoor areas.

This is the high point of the 2022 San Diego International Piano Competition & Festival for Outstanding Amateurs, hosted by AmateurPianists.

After hours and hours of practicing piano, 12 months of planning, 3 days of nail-biting anticipation by the pianists, and intense work by the jury, the results will be announced and prizes awarded.

Come back to The Conrad and join us in cheering the prize winners and everyone who made this a spectacular and unforgettable event—the competitors, festival pianists, volunteers, and the audience.

The results of this Final Round will be posted on our website at 7:00 p.m. PDT on June 26, 2022.

Awards for this competition are as follows: 1st prize ($2,000), 2nd prize ($1,000), 3rd prize ($500), gifts for the Best Baroque Period, Best Classical Period, Best Romantic Period, Best Modern Period, and the Spirit of the Competition Award ($250) which is selected by AmateurPianists volunteers.
