Preliminary Round AM - 2025 San Diego Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs

This is the first round of the 2025 San Diego Piano Competition and Festival for Outstanding Amateurs hosted by AmateurPianists. AmateurPianists believes in making piano music accessible to everyone, so all the events over the entire 3 days are FREE to the audience. So come and bring your family and friends!

This Preliminary Round has every promise of being a spectacular one, with 30 superb pianists from across the globe. They are just like us, people with day jobs/obligations; but they also choose to spend a lot of their discretionary time practicing and practicing and practicing. And we will get a chance to hear them at their best! Perhaps nervous best?

You are invited to attend and applaud enthusiastically, knowing that EVERYONE is a winner just by being selected for this competition. Each competitor will play a 10-minute repertoire, based on their own selection of music, which will be published…
